✦ Synopsis
In addition to the known iridoid glucosides antirrhinoside (1), lactone, named antirrhinolide (4a) was synthesised from 5,6-O-isopropylidene-dihydroantirrhinoside aglucone (7) in two antirrhide (3), linarioside (5) and chaenorrhinoside (6), a novel nonglucosidic iridoid lactone was isolated in trace steps. Thus, its absolute stereochemistry was proven unequivocally. amount from Antirrhinum majus (Scrophulariaceae). This

## Abstract The chemical composition of seed and root oils from __Angelica archangelica__ L. was investigated. Analyses were performed by GC/MS and GC using two columns of different polarities (polyethylene glycol (__DB‐Wax__) and 5% phenyl/95% polydimethylsiloxane (__HP‐5__)), for the separation o
