## Abstract Novel functionalized poly(__p__‐phenylene ethynylene)s (PPEs) bearing facially amphiphilic cholic and deoxycholic acid units are synthesized by a Pd‐catalyzed Sonogashira cross‐coupling reaction. Some interesting properties, particularly their optical and self‐assembly characteristics,
