✦ Synopsis
6aX -Thia-l,fj-diazapentalenes have recently received interest' as a class of compounds with single-bond/no-bond resonance in comparison with the well-known 1,6,6aX -trithiapentalenes. The first preparation of such a compound (1) was described by Reid in 1969 and extensions to tri-( 2 ) and tetra-azapentalenes (3 and 4) were carried out very re~ently.
