Some 6,7‐dimethoxy‐1‐halobenzyl‐1,2,3,4‐tetrahydroisoquinolines were synthesized from 2‐(3,4‐dimethoxyphenyl)ethylamine and halophenylacetic acids in three steps in good yield.
