β¦ Synopsis
Long chain vinyl esters of 6-and 7-oxoaliphatic acids are synthesized as intermediate monomers for the preparation of poly 6-0x0 and 7-OX0 vinyl esters. These comblike polymers have wide applications as fluidity improvers. Detailed characterization of all the intermediates is done by IR, PMR, and MS for the first time. Their evaluation is done on high waxy Bombay high crude.
