Abstract

New one‐pot syntheses of 2‐arylidene‐4‐phosphonyl‐1,3‐dithioles or 1,3‐dithiolanes were realized by reaction of the tributylphosphine‐carbon disulfide adduct with phosphonyl alkynes or phosphonyl alkenes and aldehydes in moderate yields. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
