Facile and high yielding Suzuki and Stille cross-coupling reactions of 3-bromo-quinoxalin-2ylamines were developed to synthesize a variety of novel and diversely functinalized 3-aryl and 3heterocyclic quinoxalin-2-ylamines. The preparation of the substrates and the remarkable impact that substituents have on the regiochemical outcome are discussed.
