โฆ Synopsis
This paper treats the coeficient sensitivity qf'two-dimensional (2-D) separabledenominator digital, filters using the Roesser local state-space model. Two techniques suitable for 2-D separable-denominator digitalJilters are developedjor synthesizing the, filter structure with Lowe sensitivity, one, free, from lZ scaling constraints on the state variables, and the other under the scaling constraints. In the paper, it is clarified that the filter structures with low sensitivity can be easi1.v derived, from the balanced realization. Finally, an example is given to illustrate the utility of the proposed techniques.

A novel method is proposed for the synthesis of low-sensitivity digital filters meeting any prescribed transfer function. The method is based on extracting an orthogonal matrix from the filter state matrix, resulting in structures that need n Givens rotations and at most n#1 multipliers. Thus the pr
Recent advances in integrated circuit technology and digital communication networks have led to increased demand for efficient, high-quality conversion, transmission, and coding of high-resolution images. Accordingly, a highly parallel two-dimensional digital filtering system based on an efficient p
