Abstract

The reaction of 2‐(arylamino)‐2‐oxoacetates with PCl~5~ afforded 2‐(arylamino)‐2,2‐dichloroacetates. The reaction of these compounds with aniline derivatives allowed a convenient synthesis of a great variety of 2‐(arylamino)‐2‐(arylimino)acetamides. (© Wiley‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
