A number of new chiral monomeric binaphthyl Schiff-base ligands H 2 L [where H 2 L = 2,2Π-bis(3-R 1 -5-R 2 -2-hydroxybenzylideneamino)-1,1Π-binaphthyl] and a series of chiral copper(II) complexes [CuL] were prepared in good or nearly quantitative yields. Some of the free ligands and the [CuL] comple
## Abstract A new binucleating bis(terdentate) ligand, 3,5β[3βbis(2βpyridyl)pyrazoleβ1βylmethyl]pyrazole (HL^2^), was synthesized. Reaction of the deprotonated ligand L^2^ with hydrated Cu^II^ salts gives (ΞΌβpyrazolato)(ΞΌβhydroxido)βbridged binuclear and tetranuclear complexes [L^2^Cu~2~(ΞΌβOH)(ClO~
