โœฆ Synopsis

mation about designing and synthesizing molecule-based magnets* and investigating the spin-exchange mechanism between panmagnetic meta~ ions. ' here were Felatively few studies dealing with hetenmetal complexes containing d-transition metal ions and lanthanide(III) ions (socalled d-f hetemuclear complexes), due to the very weak intexaction and a large anisotropic &ect of lanthanide ions.c7 However, since Vidali, Abid and coworkem'*' reported in 1984 d-f hetemnudar complexes, much && has been also devoted to magnetic studies of d-f hetenmuclear complexes, in plllticular, to the magnetic interaction between Cu( II) and Gd( m) ions. Momver, the fact that the d-f mixed oxidea have been used in many functional materials and/or have been exto develop d-f hetenmuclear complexes, possessing new functions associated with some df hetenmetal centers.

In order to provide more exemples d df hetenmuclear complexes, we have recently synthesized some d-f heteronuclear complexes and investigated their magnetic properties. 9-u ~n continuation of OUT earlier work, seven new hetenmetal binuclear caroplexee, Cu ( obbz) I n ( Ph-
