✦ Synopsis
Thirteen new complexes, MLX.nH20 and ML2(C104) 2. nH20 [M = Co, Ni, Cu; X = CI-, Br-, NO~-, ~SO 41 2-., n = 1 or 2; and L = 2-(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-l-yl)benzothiazole], have been synthesized, and characterized by elemental analysis, conductivity measurements, magnetic moments, thermal studies and electronic, i.r. and e.p.r. spectral studies. On the basis of available data probable structures have been proposed. In a few cases the antibacterial and antifungal activities increase on complexation of the ligand with metals.
