✦ Synopsis
The reaction of Rh 2 (O 2 CR) 4 (R = CH 3 , CF 3 ) with the chiral phosphane (2S,5S)-2,5-dimethyl-1-phenylphospholane (PC* H), results in the formation of two diastereoisomers of Rh 2 (O 2 CCR) 2 (PC*) 2 , with (P) and (M) configuration. These can easily be isolated by chromatographic methods to obtain enantiomerically pure Rh II compounds. Preliminary catalytic studies have shown that they induce moderate asymmetry in

Red, diamagnetic di(phthalocyaninato(2-)rhodium(II)), [( Rhpc ^2−^)~2~] is prepared by thermal decomposition of acidophthalocyaninatorhodium(III) or di(acido)phthalocyaninatorhodates(III) in inert, high boiling solvents or under reduced pressure at T < 350° C . It is insoluble in most common solvent
