2‐Trideuteriopyridine‐4,6‐d~2~ (1‐4,6‐d~2~), 3‐methylpyridine‐2,6‐d~2~ (2‐2,6‐d~2~), 3‐methylpyridine‐2,4,6‐d~3~ (2‐2,4,6‐d~3~), and 4‐trideuteriopyridine‐2,6‐d~2~ (3‐2,6‐d~2~) were synthesized from the appropriate 2‐, 3‐, or 4‐methylpyridine N‐oxides. These deuterated products were characterized by their ^1^H NMR and ^13^C NMR spectra. J. Heterocyclic Chem., 46, 213 (2009).
