✦ Synopsis
New chiral porphyrins were obtained in reasonable yields in three steps, starting from the αβαβ atropisomer of mesotetrakis(o-aminophenyl)porphyrin (TAPP). These potential catalysts for the enantioselective epoxidation of alkenes were obtained by the reaction of different linkers on the same L- prolinoyl-picket porphyrin. Their 1 H NMR spectral character- [a] L.

## Abstract A new copolymer with short alternating conjugated and nonconjugated blocks, derived from bisphenol A (BPAEt~2~‐PPV) containing separated phenylenevinylene (PV) units has been synthesized by Wittig condensation. The copolymer is fully soluble in common organic solvents and has a number‐a
New polyarylates having benzopinacolone units were synthesized from 2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)-1,2-diphenylethanone and aromatic dicarboxylic acid chlorides. The polymers having an inherent viscosity of 0.71-0.94 dL/g were obtained by the two-phase method using toluene as an organic solvent. The polym
