β¦ Synopsis
With sodium borohydride in tetrahydrofuran/ethanol (5 : 1).
the product ( I ) gives a 75 yield of a compound, m.p. 233 "C, that is identical with the recently prepared 2-(diphenylmethyl)imidaz0le[~1. When product ( I ) is boiled for 2 h in tetrahydrofuran/water (2: I ) it affords 2-(hydroxy-dipheny1methyl)imidazole in 72 % yield. Addition of the calculated amount of ethereal hydrogen chloride to a solution of product ( I ) in tetrahydrofuran regenerates the starting material (2) almost quantitatively.

This study concerns the synthesis of anhydride terminated oligoimides (ANTOI) and allyl terminated oligoimides (ALTOI), in acetic acid medium, which allows a very fast reaction and an easy working out. For the preparation of ALTOIs, two methods are compared: the first one consists of adding the mono
A series of thermosetting resins were synthesized via phase transfer reaction of allyl chloride and propargyl bromide with cyclopentadiene in the presence of a strong base. Feed ratios of 1 : 1, 3 : 1, and 5 : 1 allyl chloride to propargyl bromide were used to give resins with varying amounts of pro
## Abstract This article presents the results of a systematic synthesis study of elastomeric crosslinkable polysilicon olefins, the related thermal crosslinking kinetics, and the main permeability parameters recorded for inorganic gases (He, N~2~, O~2~, and CO~2~) and C~1~βC~7~ hydrocarbons. Poly(v
Polymers with amidine groups {NH{CR|N{ in the main chain were prepared by acid catalysed melt polycondensation of 4,4 -diaminodiphenyl methane (DAPM) with various orthoesters. The resulting polyamidines were characterized by 1 H-, 13 C-and 15 N-NMR spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry (DS
Polycondensation of 1,4,5,8-naphthalenetetracarboxylic dianhydride (NTDA) with 3,3'diaminobenzidine (DAB) and 3,3'4,4'-tetraaminodiphenyl ether (TADPE), respectively, in N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMAc) at room temperature was found to produce high-viscosity polybenzimidazobenzophenanthroline (PBIPA) pr
