## Abstract A novel donorโacceptor (DโA) type alternating copolymer based on dithieno[3,2โb:2โฒ,3โฒโd]pyrrole (DTP) and thieno[3,4โc]pyrroleโ4,6โdione (TPD) was synthesized. The polymer has a broad absorption spectrum in the range of 350โ810โnm. The energy levels of the highest occupied molecular orb
