A model has been used to design novel pyrazole methanesulfonates. The pyrazole carboxamide methanesulfonates demonstrated insecticidal activity with low levels of acute mammalian toxicity. The amides formed from amines with a-branching (e.g. isopropyl and sec-butyl) demonstrated the highest level of
