โœฆ Synopsis


A quaternary ammonium salt of poly(oxyethylene) methacrylates containing a quaternary ammonium group was designed and synthesized as a single-ionic solid polyelectrolyte. The ionic conductivity of the polymer is about 10 ร€5 S/cm at room temperature. Furthermore, when a small amount of water or aqueous KOH solution was added, the ionic conductivity of the polyelectrolyte increased to 10 ร€3 S/cm.

## Abstract The metalโ€ion uptake behavior of the chelating resin poly([(3โ€(methacryloylamino)propyl] trimethyl ammonium chlorideโ€__co__โ€4โ€vinyl pyridine) has been investigated.
