As one of many potential electrorheological (ER) materials, poly(acene quinone) radicals (PAQR) were investigated. PAQRs were synthesized and the characteristics of these polymers were examined by using Fourier transform infrared, thermogravimetric analysis and pycnometer techniques. ER fluids were
