✦ Synopsis

Chromium complexes of the type K [Ck(RIDA)J . nHz0, R = ethyl (E), n-propyl (n-P), isopropyl (i-P), n-bury1 (n-B). and tbutyl (t-B), have been prepared in a one pot synthesis, omitting isolation of the ligands. The complexes have been characterized using infrared, visible-W, and luminescence spectroscopy, and are all found to possess the trans confmration. Band assignments have been made to electronic energy level schemes.
