β¦ Synopsis
Natural silica source from Red Sea Desert mine e Egypt for white sand has been successfully employed as a starting precursor for hydrothermal preparation of titanosilicate types natisite and sitinakite. Interestingly the structure of the starting precursor of the silica source plays a role in controlling the type of the titanosilicate produced. ETS-4, natisite, sitinakite plus the doped ETS-4 and natisite with vanadium have been studied for hydrogen uptake. The samples adsorbed 2e2.3 wt% hydrogen at Γ193 C and 20 bar applied hydrogen pressure. The dense natisite structure prepared in this study is found to be superior to those prepared using commercially available silica.

## Abstract The novel didentate ligand 2β(3,5βdimethylβ1βpyrazolyl)ethylamine (Naed) and the tridentate ligand bis[2β(3,5βdimethylβ1βpyrazolyl)ethyl] amine (ddaH) were immobilized onto silica by two different methods. The first method involves the coupling of the ligand to silica, previously modifi
Polyimide-silica (PI-SiO 2 ) hybrids with a nanostructure was obtained using the nonaqueous sol-gel process by polycondensation of phenyltriethoxysilane in a polyamic acid solution. Self-catalyzed hydrolysis of phenyl-substituted akoxysilane and modification on the polyimide structure are applied an
The development of a practical tethering of h-nicotamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD + ) molecule on a silica surface is presented, leading to a functional biomaterial. The covalent attachment of the biomolecule was achieved through its phosphate group. The NAD + -modified silica was mainly characteri
