✦ Synopsis

progressively. SAXS experiments indicate the formation of spherical droplets with their water pool radii increasing with the water content from 3 to 6 nm. At w = 20, the L(a) phase totally disappears and the L,(II) and iso-octane phases remain in equilibrium. By increasing the water content from M, = 20 to 30, the volume of the upper phase formed by iso-octane decreases and that of the L,(II) phase increases.

Copper metallic particles made at w = 20 are spherical nanosized crystallites with an average diameter equal to 10 nm (Figs. Ic, 2c). Again, a small amount of cylindrical particles is obtained.

In conclusion, in the present note it has been shown that a correlation exists between the structure of the mesophase in the surfactant system used as microreactor and the shape of the produced copper particles. The synthesis of copper metallic particles performed in cylindrical reverse micelles induces the formation of 10% of cylindrical particles. The number of cylindrical particles strongly increases when the synthesis is performed in an interconnected network. Finally, large rods are obtained in lamellar phase.

Latex particles with a multihollow structure were prepared by seeded emulsion polymerizatoin. Thus seed latexes Sn, consisting of styrene(St) and methyl methacrylate (MMA) copolymer, and Sa, consisting of St-MMA-AA (acrylic acid) copolymers, were first prepared, then a series of coreshell composite
