β¦ Synopsis
The preparation and characterization of some dpositive metal ion complexes derived from potassium 3-(bemotriazdbl-ccrrbylmethyl)-~~iocar~zate (BCDHK) is reported. The d i d m l e x e s of the comporition ML (M = Mn( I[ ), Ni( 1 ), Cu( H ), Cd( H ), Zn( 11 ) andCo( I[ ), n = 0 , l ) andML2 2&0 (M = Pb ( II ) , UO2( VI )) , have been characterized on the basis of elemental analyses R, UV and TGA. IR spectral data indicate that BcDm behaves as either a mononegative or binegative ligand and coordinates in a tridentate or bridging tetradentate manner.

Several new polyamides were synthesized by direct polycondensation of the 1,3-bis[4-(4-aminophenoxy)phenyl]adamantane ( I) with various dicarboxylic acids. The polyamides had inherent viscosities and number-average molecular weights ( M n ) of 0.46-0.96 dL/g and 28,000-109,000, respectively. All pol
