In this work we study the conductivity properties of poly-omethoxyaniline/V 2 O 5 intercalation compounds obtained through intercalative polymerization of o-methoxyaniline with V 2 O 5 . nH 2 O in hydrogel form and by reacting directly with V 2 O 5 film in de-hydrated form (xerogel). These new compo

✦ Synopsis
The synthesis, and spectroscopic and structural characterization of a series of hybrid PAni/V 2 O 5 materials are reported. We have performed a systematic study of the synthesis of the hybrids by direct in situ reaction of aniline with V 2 O 5 hydrogels and have determined key parameters for the reproducibility of the materials obtained. We have established the existence of two phases in the PAni/V 2 O 5 system corresponding to the intercalation of one and two monolayers of PAni into V 2 O 5 . The characterization of these materials includes FTIR spectroscopy, X-ray di4raction, Thermogravimetric analyses, and resistivity measurements.
