✦ Synopsis


have been synthesized by dealkylation reactions of 2-quinH with [(ArCH 2 ) 3 Sn] 2 O, and their structures have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR and NMR ( 1 H, 13 C, 119 Sn) spectroscopies. The structures of {[(2-ClC 6 H 4 CH 2 ) 2 ] 2 O} 2 2 have been determined by X-ray diffraction. Studies show that compound 2 has a tetranuclear, centrosymmetric dimeric structure, with the endo-cyclic tin atom five-coordinated and the exo-cyclic tin atom six coordinated. Studies also show that the nitrogen atoms of the 2-quin ligand are coordinating to the tin atom for all the ten compounds.
