## Abstract A series of novel polyesters based on 2,5‐pyridinedicarboxylic acid were synthesized using the reaction of the caesium salt of the acid with a variety of dibromo compounds in __N__‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidone at 110°C. For the α,ω‐dibromoalkane Br(CH~2~)~__m__~Br series, the efficiency of the
