## Abstract **Summary:** This paper reports the preparation of poly(acetalโethers) by two alternative synthetic pathways (alkaline and acidโcatalyzed conditions). Polycondensations of methyl 2,3:4,6โdiโ__O__โsalicylideneโ__ฮฑ__โDโmannopyranoside (**3**) (mixtures of endoโH and exoโH dioxolanโ2โylโdi
