✦ Synopsis

Several 5-a&o and S-glycosylaminopyrrolo [3,4-c]pyridin-l,3(2H)-dioue derivatives and 7amino and 7-glycosylaminopyrido[3,4-cfJpyridazin-l,4(2H,3H>dione derivatives, were synthesized starting from 2-amino and 2-glycosylaminopyridines. respectively. For the preparation of pyrrolopyridine and pyridopyridaziue derivatives we used ammonia and hydrazine monohydrate respectively. Those compounds were evaluated, but found inactive, for their invirro antiviral activity. Q 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
