## Abstract A series novel of __N__‐(2‐hydroxyethyl)amide derivatives was synthesized and screened for their anticonvulsant activities by the maximal electroshock (MES) test, and their neurotoxicity was evaluated by the rotarod test (Tox). The maximal electroshock test showed that __N__‐(2‐hydroxye
