Abstract

Two hydrothermally synthesised 3D metal‐coordination polymers, namely [Cu(isonicotinate)(nicotinate)]~n~ (1), with an 8‐connected CsCl topology, and [Cu~2~(μ~3~‐OH)(isonicotinate)~2~(BDC)~0.5~]~n~ (2), with an unusual 8‐connected 3^5^.4^11^.5^8^.6^4^ topology, demonstrate that highly connected SBUs can be employed in the construction of complicated frameworks.
