Abstract

m‐Astatobenzoic acid (2) methyl m‐astatobenzoate (3), and m‐astatohippuric acid (4) were synthesized by the melt method. Reaction of methyl m‐bromobenzoate with astatide at 200°C gave methyl m‐astatobenzoate. Compounds 2 and 4 were synthesized by similar method. Compounds 2 and 3 were purified and identified by radio‐gaschromatography.
