✦ Synopsis

Syntheses of the I-benzyl-3-( I-imidazo1ylmethyl)indoles la-q with substituents at the benzyl moiety and at the indole C-2 position are described. The compounds were tested for their antifungal activities in vitro by determination of the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC). Compounds Id, le, and l p exhibited appreciable activities against Cr. neoformans.

Synthese und antimykotische Wukung von l-Benzyl-3-(l-imidazolylmethyl)indolen

Die Synthese der 1-Benzyl 3-( 1-imidazolylmethy1)indole la-lq mit Substituenten im Benzyl-Teil und in der C-2 Stellung des Indolringes wird beschrieben. Die Verbindungen wurden in viwo durch Bestimmung der minimalen Hemmkonzentration (MIC) auf ihre antimykotische Wirksamkeit untersucht. Die Verbindungen Id, l e und l p zeigten in vitro eine signifikante Aktivitat gegen Cr. neoformans.
