✦ Synopsis

Nine reaction products of isothiocyanates with cysteine, N-( Nsubstituted-thiocarbamoyl)cysteines, and eight reaction products of isothiocyanates with 2,3-dimercapto-l-propanol, 2,3-bis(substituted-thiocarbamoylthio)-l-propanols, were synthe- sized. The antimicrobial activity of these compounds was investigated.
