Polypeptide aus der Thymusdrüse werden im Hinblick auf ihre immunologische Funktion derzeit intensiv untersucht. Die Synthese des stark sauren, aus 28 Aminosäuren zusammengesetzten Peptide Thymosin α~1~ in biologisch aktiver Form verbessert die Möglichkeiten für Forschung und‐vielleicht‐therapeutische Anwendung.

## Abstract Aus dem chiralen Epoxyalkohol (__ent__‐**7**) und dem Diethylalkinylalan **9** erhielt man diastereoselektiv das Diol **10**. Daraus wurden durch Standardoperationen der Alkohol **13** und weiter (+)‐α‐Multistriatin (__ent__‐**1**) von 83% Isomerenreinheit dargestellt.
