✦ Synopsis

For the in vivo-measurements of the oxidation of steroid-alcohols to steroid-ketones testosterone-1 7a-T and hydrocortisone-llu-T were synthesized by the reduction of the corresponding 17-or 11-ketones with LiBT4 after ketalization of the other keto-groups with aethylenglycol. Purijication from radioactive by-products in analytical and preparative scale was easely achieved by thin-layerchromatography combined with automatic scanning of the radioactivity by the 2-dimensional Berthold-ct Diinnschicht-Scanner,.
