Synthesis of Calcitonin Derivatives by Fragment Condensation in Solution and on 2‐Chlorotrityl Resin
Ser^2^,Val^8^,Gly^33^)‐human calcitonin (13) was synthesized in 45% yield by sequential assembly of protected fragments on 2‐chlorotrityl resin. An analogous synthesis by fragment condensation in solution yielded (Ser^2^,Val^8^)‐human calcitonin (21) in 10% yield.
