## Abstract The cationic polymerisation of pentafulvenes **1a–g** yields highly unsaturated macromolecules. The structure of the resulting polymers **2a–g** has been proved by combination of spectroscopic methods, especially by analysis of the ^13^C NMR‐spectra.
