Synthesis and Dielectric Properties of Liquid Crystalline Alkyliminomethyl‐Substituted Phenylbenzoates

The synthesis of 4‐n‐alkyliminomethyl‐phenyl‐4′‐n‐alkoxybenzoates and their mesomorphic properties are described. We have investigated the dielectric constants and the relaxation frequencies (MHz‐region) of the nematic and smectic A phases.
