## Abstract Poly(1‐hydroxytetramethylene) was prepared via hydroboration of __cis__‐1,4‐poly(butadiene). The structure of the polymer chain generated by a random hydroxylation of the carbon double bonds of the butadien units was determined by ^13^C NMR spectroscopy.
