## Abstract Retention and excretion of small amounts of oxalic acid with radioactive ^14^C in rats have been investigated. It has been found that on an average 28.7% of the oxalic acid was excreted in the urine, while 25.2% was retained in the kidney. The liver showed only small activities. These r

✦ Synopsis
By alkylation of the pyrazole derivatives obtained from disubstituted cyano-acetic acid esters and hydrazine (formula 1) a, series of l-alkyl-3-amino-4,4-disubstituted-5-oxo-pyrazolines (7) was obtained. These were further alkylated to 1,a-dialkyl derivatives (8). From the compounds 1 the 5-halogenated iminopyrazolines 9 were obtained with POCl, or PBr,. The 4-methyl-4-n-butyl-5-bromo derivat, ive of this series has valuable sedative properties. Catalytic dehalogenation with Pd/H, gave 3-imino-4,4-dialkyl pyrazolines 10. The acylation of the different types of compounds was studied.
