Synthesis of Thiophophatidylcholine and Its Analogues

Synthesis of thiophatidylcholine 5, its phosphonothionate 7 and phosphonate 9 analogues are described. A novel facile rearrangement of 2‐(2,3‐distearoyloxypropylthio)‐1,3,2‐dioxaphospholane (3) into 2‐(2,3‐distearoyloxypropyl)‐1,3,2‐dioxaphospholane 2‐sulfide (6) was observed by ^13^P‐NMR spectroscopy.
