β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
In this paper we present an oscillatory neural network composed of two coupled neural oscillators with inhibitory connections. Each of the oscillators describes the dynamics of average activities of excitatory and inhibitory populations of neurons. Regarding time delays Ο as the bifurcation parameter, we not only obtain the existence of Hopf bifurcations but also investigate the bifurcation direction and stability of bifurcated periodic solutions by employing normal form theory and center manifold reduction. Finally, numerical simulations are provided to illustrate the theoretical results. Copyright Β© 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

This paper presents a systematic analysis approach for the study of two non-linearly coupled oscillators, with incommensurable fundamental frequencies. The asymptotic perturbation method is used to analyze a bifurcation problem of codimension two. It is found that the amplitude modulation equations
## Abstract A continuum model of the dynamics for a coupledβoscillator array that presents an intuitive insight into the behavior of the frequencyβtuned array was introduced recently. In this paper, we further develop the continuous dynamics for the coupledβoscillator array with a couplingβphase ad
The e!ect of parallel misalignment on the lateral and torsional responses of two rotating shafts (Je!cott rotors) is examined with theoretical and numerical analysis. The general equations of motion are derived and given in dimensionless form to represent the general case. The equations of motion re
