✦ Synopsis

Over 70 people from 14 countries have responded to the first circular. To date 51 papers have been offered from researchers in Southern Africa (28), USA (5), UK (5), Canada (2), Israel (2), France (2), Austi-Mia (2), FR Germany (1), Ireiand (1) and Brazil (1). A strong academic programme of paper and poster presentations is expected, with emphasis on desert environments, soil erosion, coastal gvomorphology, macrogeomorphology, weathering and Quaternary landforms. A detailed list of participants and paper titles will appear in the Third and Final Circular. This circular contains details on the symposium programme, instructions on presentation of papers and posters, instructions to authors related to the proceedings volume, a booking form, and details regarding the pre-and post-symposium field excursions.
