Large single crystals of EuMn 2 P 2 were grown from a tin 6ux whose melt composition and reaction temperature pro5le were optimized to avoid impurity phases. The crystal structure of EuMn 2 P 2 is of the CaAl 2 Si 2 structure type. The structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray crystallography
