The concept of the complete symmetry group of a differential equation introduced by J. Krause (1994, J. Math. Phys. 35, 5734-5748) is extended to integrals of such equations. This paper is devoted to some aspects characterising complete symmetry groups. The algebras of the symmetries of both differe

Abstract
After the initial seminal works of Sophus Lie on ordinary differential equations, several important results on point symmetry group analysis of ordinary differential equations have been obtained. In this review, we present the salient features of point symmetry group classification of scalar ordinary differential equations: linear __n__thβorder, secondβorder equations as well as related results. The main focus here is the contributions of Peter Leach, in this area, in whose honour this paper is written on the occasion of his 65th birthday celebrations. ## Abstract Symmetries of stochastic ordinary differential equations (SODEs) are analysed. This work focuses on maintaining the properties of the Weiner processes after the application of infinitesimal transformations. The determining equations (DEs) for firstβorder SODEs are derived in an ItΓ΄ calc
Third order ordinary differential equations admitting a transitive symmetry group of fiber-preserving point transformations are completely characterized. We give the general expressions of these equations, as well as the canonical equations representing the equivalence classes. The symmetry groups a
The Riccati transformation is used in the reduction of order of second and third Ε½ . order ordinary differential equations of maximal symmetry. The sl 2, R subalgebra is preserved under this transformation. The Riccati transformation is itself associated with the symmetry that is annihilated in the
We undertake a study of the first integrals of linear nth order scalar ordinary differential equations with maximal symmetry. We establish patterns for the first integrals associated with these equations. It is shown that second and third order equations are the pathological cases in the study of hi
