✦ Synopsis

The present article describes the use of a unified eigenmode approach for the analysis of the symmetrical N-port microstrip ring coupler (where N can take on any positive integer value). Experimental tests on sample prototypes have confirmed that the resultant model is able to accurately predict the performance characteristics of this family of couplers.

## Abstract A six‐port reflectometer constructed from a 0Β°/180Β° microstrip‐ring coupler is presented. Three different constructions are given with their optimum positions of the q‐point. One of these constructions is realized on an RT/Duroid 5880 at 3 GHz. Good agreement with the measurements obtai

## Abstract A new configuration of a three‐port rectangular microstrip power divider and coupler has been proposed. It can easily implement unequal power division of a large ratio, i.e., the power coupled to the third port can vary from βˆ’3 to βˆ’26 dB. The configuration has been analyzed using a tran
