โฆ Synopsis
Most parameter estimation techniques implicitly assume that it is possible to determine the parameters of the system uniquely if there were no noise in the output. In practice, this is not always the case. Whether or not this assumption is true for a given input-output experiment is the problem of structural identification.
Two programs utilizing symbolic matrix calculus are presented which aid in solving this problem for linear systems. Pharmacokinetic examples are given.

In this paper, we describe our design for advanced drug dosing programs that "reason" using a combination of Bayesian pharmacokinetic modeling and symbolic modeling of patient status and drug response. Our design is similar to the design of the Digitalis Therapy Advisor program, but extends this pre
An outline of the field of optimal location of sensors for parametric identification of linear structural systems is presented. There are few papers devoted to the case of optimal location of sensors in which the measurements are modeled by a random field with non-trivial covariance function. It is
This paper addresses the issue of system identi"cation for linear structural systems using earthquake induced time histories of the structural response. The proposed methodology is based on the Eigensystem Realization Algorithm (ERA) and on the Observer/Kalman "lter IDenti"cation (OKID) approach to
