✦ Synopsis
Reversible and irreversible
charge-transfer models are applied to the switching reaction of polypyrrole films containing perchlorate.
The films were prepared by applying an anodic potential of either 0.75 or l.OV (vs. see). The peak currents and peak positions in cyclic voltammograms are used to calculate the transfer coeficient (a or /I) and the kinetic constants (k, and k,) using one point or multiple point fits. Using a scaling factor, the peak currents predicted by multiple point regression fall within loo/ of the measurements.
