## Abstract Crystalline monomolecular cell surface layers, S‐layers, are one of the most common outermost cell envelope components of the prokaryotic organisms (bacteria and archaeda) that protects them from competitive habitats. Since isolated S‐protein subunits are able to re‐assemble into crysta
